Game of Thrones has ‘teased’ us again, or has it?

Possibly one of the greatest television shows to grace our screens this decade and almost certainly one of the greatest produced by HBO, so why is there a feeling of emptiness and being unsatisfied by the latest trailer?

From the trailer we learn that Season 6 will be released in April, which was no news for avid fans. So why is everyone going mad for it?

The trailer consists of some pretty decisive, memorable and outright brutal moments that previous scenes have presented to viewers but not much new footage.

It initially opens with some omniscient music overlapped by the words “We watch, we listen and we remember. The past is already written. The ink is dry.” Spoken by Max von Sydow who voices the Three Eyed Raven.

This is followed by some pinnacle moments that took place throughout the season so far, each one as painful as the next. It is almost as if HBO wants to torture its fans all over again.

Just before we hear Bran say “They have no idea what’s going to happen” we are told that Season 6 will air in April. So everything is left on a pretty dull and frustrating note. Mainly because we haven’t seen much new content but that is surely on its way. All we can question is the dialogue that accompanied the visuals.

What is HBO trying to tell us?

Is Jon Snow going to making one of the greatest returns in the history of ever?

Sorry Hostess but Twinkies < Jon Snow.

The words “The past is already written. The ink is dry.” acts almost as reverse psychology. Why would this be said for any other reason than HBO wanting to bring Snow back? Then again, it is arguable that they just want to get our hopes up. Not like it would be the first time the have tormented and teased fans. Some suggest that because we see Bran lying on his back with piercing white eyes, suggesting that he is ‘warging’ and in another body. But who? Is it Jon Snow?

Considering the shots below are placed back-to-back, it could well be.

All I can say is, roll on teaser trailer number two!

You can watch all 41 seconds of it below. Prepare to have your heart ripped out, crushed and shattered into a thousand pieces all over again.
